Kovo runs entirely on servers in Germany and is operated by a German company. No ads, no tracking.

Servers in Germany

All data is stored at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany: database, files, emails, video and Office. Backups stay in the EU.

German provider

Kovo is made by 3hundert60 GmbH from Amberg, Germany. No US corporation, and no data sent outside the EU to run the service.

Two-factor authentication

Companies strictly separated

Every time data is accessed, Kovo checks that the person belongs to that company. These rules are tested automatically.

Roles and permissions

Owner, Guest and up to five roles of your own with permissions for members, mailboxes, projects and hours.

Video and Office in-house

Video calls and Office editing run on our own servers. Calls are not recorded.

How we handle your data

Encryption and passwords

All connections are encrypted. We never store passwords in readable form. The login details for your mailboxes are stored encrypted on the server.

Backups

Everything is backed up daily. An extra copy is kept on separate storage in the EU. We keep backups for 14 days.

Data processing agreement

We process what your company stores in Kovo on your behalf. We’ll send you the data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR if you ask at hallo@kovo.team.

No ads, no tracking

Kovo shows no ads, doesn’t analyze what you do and sets no tracking cookies. This website also works without cookies or analytics. Fonts come from our own server.

Service providers

Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen: servers and storage in Germany.
For notifications in the mobile apps: Expo, Apple and Google. Only a device ID, the sender and a preview are passed on, and you can turn the preview off.
Emails go through the mail servers your company has connected itself.
